Fabulous Las Vegas is not considered a gambling haven for nothing. Given all the grand casinos and resorts that abound the place, as well as small, smoky gambling halls, it is but natural that poker and other games of chance is associated with the city. However, a trip to Vegas does not necessarily mean gambling, as there are a plethora of things to do in Vegas other than poker. Here are some favorites:
Las Vegas is home to a wide array of entertainers and performers, and one of the most famous is the Cirque du Soleil. There are basically eight exciting shows to watch out for, which are presented in different casino hotels in Vegas: there are the aquatic performances in the “O” Show, the highly athletic and acrobatic performers at the “Mystere,” and “Zarkana,” and the high-flying action and martial arts display at “KA.” For adult visitors, try the “Zumanity” where humour, eroticism and provocative dances are performed. There are also shows which are dedicated to famous personalities like “Believe: Chris Angels”, “Michal Jackson,” and “Love: The Beatles.”
Drive like a Pro
One of the most thrilling experiences that one can enjoy in Las Vegas is driving a race car in the motorways. Here, visitors are given the chance to drive or ride along in a NASCAR race car with 600 Horse Power and speeds of over 155 MPH. Chosen visitors are also allowed to race against friends and families in the tracks, which will surely make for a nice competition. Aside from that, you can choose to try driving a Chevrolet Camaro, Dodge Challenger, or a Ford Mustang Shelby in the Muscle Car Challenge.
Be an Art Aficionado
Las Vegas is also teeming with different art galleries that feature top of the line and unique exhibits. The Madame Tussauds Wax Museum features realistic wax replicas of many famous TV and Hollywood personalities like Simon Cowell and Eva Longoria, as well as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Aside from that, there are also figures of sports stars like UFC legend Chuck Lidell or golf superstar Tiger Woods. The Bellagio Gallery of Fine Arts showcases some interesting works of arts, from paintings and artworks and others. The highlight is the art and wine event where one can get to enjoy walking around the museum while sipping on champagne or tequila or beer, making one feel like a true connoisseur.

If you’re tired of walking and driving around town, then why not try travelling in the air? There are two common ways of doing this in Vegas – by helicopter rides and by hot air balloons. Taking a tour using any of these modes will give visitors a chance to enjoy the views of Vegas from a bird’s eye view which is a spectacular especially at night.
So don’t think that a trip to Vegas means having to break one’s bank account and splurge in gambling, because being one of the liveliest and busiest cities around, one will surely never run out of things to do in Sin City.
