Of all the world’s great tourist destinations few are better than Spain. This country has vibrant cities, amazing natural scenery, wonderful food and welcoming people. It is also somewhere which lets you pack lightly for a number of reasons, such as the following ones.
If you are going to the Canary Islands, for example, you will find that the temperature is pleasant all year round, meaning then even on a winter trip you don’t need to pack a lot of heavy clothes with you. The southern part of the mainland also tends to get good weather most of the year, with Andalusia being an especially good bet for winter sun seekers. As you go further north in the country you will find that the winter temperatures drop and you get more chance of rain or even snow. By choosing the right place at the right time of year you can ensure that you spend most of your trip wearing lightweight clothes and sandals.
It Is Good Value
Spain is also a county in which the likes of clothes, toiletries and other things you might need are generally good value. A trip to the local shopping centre or supermarket can be good fun and can be a lot better than taking a lot of stuff out there from home with you. The street markets, known as rastrillos in some places, are especially interesting for having a browse around. If you run out of anything when you are in Spain it is highly unlikely that you won’t be able to replace it. If you go to a place which is popular with tourists then you will even find that there are a lot of imported goods like food from the countries where more of the tourists in the region come from.
The Relaxed Attitude
When you go to some other places you might feel the need to pack some more formal clothing and accessories. However, in Spain there is a relaxed attitude which makes it easy to stick to casual gear and still feel good. Few people, if any, are going to look at you in a bad light for wearing casual clothing all the time. In fact, this is a great tourist destination for anyone who likes to live a laid back kind of lifestyle on their trips.
The Tourist Infrastructure
Spain is the fourth most visited country in the world, which means that there is now a great tourist infrastructure in place to make travelling here easy. This means that you can expect an easy time of it while you are here and should be able to get hold of anything a tourist might be expected to need while on a trip abroad. Clearly, the big resorts like Benidorm and those on Majorca and the Canary Islands are the places which are most geared towards looking after tourists. However, even away from these resorts you will find that Spain is an easy county to travel in.
